NSAC and the Stewardship Action Foundation bring national policy leadership and convening power to the inaugural U.S. Textiles Recycling Expo

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Jan. 26, 2026) — The National Stewardship Action Council (NSAC), in collaboration with the Stewardship Action Foundation (SAF), are working with Textiles Recycling Expo USA to support  inaugural Textiles Recycling Expo USA, taking place April 29-30 2026 at the Charlotte Convention Center inNorth Carolina.

As textile reuse and recycling gain momentum across the United States, the collaboration brings together national policy leadership, system design expertise, and industry innovation at a pivotal moment for the development of scalable, circular textile solutions.

NSAC and SAF serve as the nation's leading conveners in this space, having launched the first National Textile Circularity Working Group to bring together brands, recyclers, policymakers, local and state governments, and solution providers. This working group is shaping the future of responsible textile systems by aligning policy, infrastructure, and market needs across the full value chain.

“Textiles are one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the country,” said Heath Nettles, Deputy Director of the National Stewardship Action Council and Stewardship Action Foundation. “No single sector can fix this alone. Real circularity only happens when everyone who touches this system gets involved in fixing it, showing up to shape solutions together, in Charlotte this April and in our National Textile Working Group every month.”

At Textiles Recycling Expo USA, Nettles will also serve as a featured panelist on “How Do We Increase Textile Recycling Rates?, session focused on the economic and legislative mechanisms needed to scale textile reuse and recycling in the United States. The panel will be chaired by Adam Gardiner of Textiles Exchange and will feature Dr. Sheng Lu of the University of Delaware and Rachel Kibbe of American Circular Textiles, bringing together leading voices across policy, research, and industry innovation.

Textiles Recycling Expo USA’s April event will serve as a dedicated platform for the U.S. textile recycling value chain, providing exhibition, conference, and networking opportunities designed to support emerging systems and scalable solutions. NSAC’s involvement brings a policy- and stewardship-focused perspective, reflecting its work to advance extended producer responsibility and circular economy frameworks across the United States.

NSAC and Textiles Recycling Expo USA look forward to welcoming industry, policy, and community leaders to Charlotte in April 2026.

The Textiles Recycling Expo USA is free to attend, offering access to an exhibition floor filled with pioneering technologies and services, alongside an open conference theater featuring expert-led panels, keynote presentations, and in-depth discussions. Together, these elements will create an unparalleled platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and driving the transition toward a circular textiles economy.

About the Stewardship Action Foundation

Founded in 2021, the Stewardship Action Foundation (SAF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing a responsible circular economy through education, outreach, and partnerships.
