NSAC commends CalRecycle’s continued engagement on SB 54 and is reviewing recent regulatory revisions through a legal, food safety and implementation lens to ensure the law delivers on its intended public health, environmental and economic benefits.
A circular economy only matters if it works. As we head into 2026, the real test is whether recycling, reuse, and redesign protect workers, prevent fires, and turn recovered materials into something new.
