Will improve CA’s carpet recycling program’s governance to include CA stakeholders, sets recycled carpet to carpet standards, and increases penalties for non-compliance.
Will require producers to fund and operate a convenient collection system to manage expired or unwanted flares, shifting the costs of managing this product from cities and counties to producers/users.
Expands the existing paint product stewardship program, under PaintCare, to include ALL paint and would no longer limit the program to architectural paints. Adds related products, such as finishes, glazes, and paint thinners.
